December: Training programme and Christmas Feast. At the end of the programme books were shared to the children.

May: An Educational Programme on the subject of Coloured Air Balloons was held at the Workroom of Fine Arts facilities on the occasion of the World Environment Day. Guided by their artist instructors, the children made colourful hot air balloons, and the final stage of the event took place on the city's seafront (Voula Gounela).

December: A Christmas celebration for children. Painting programme organised in the context of the exhibition Aristodimos. Raising Flags. The music for the event was provided the City"s Bandina, and Ms Barbara Terzaki presented the children with books donated by Kastaniotis Editions.

June: As part of the collaboration scheme between the Workroom of Fine Arts of CCA and Primary Education, a free pottery Educational Programme was organised for school classes at the Workroom of Fine Arts facilities (Frosso Bora).

Fancy dress programme of manufactures by various materials (papers, paper bags, useless material, clay etc) for Primary school children (Voula Gounela, Stella Drigiannaki, Phroso Bora, Alexandros Tsintzos).

The young and adult students of the Workroom of Fine Arts of CCA, drew and expressed creatively themselves in the Art Station of the School of Fine Arts, Rethymnon (March 2010 – Teachers of the Workroom of Fine Art).

In the framework of the fair of the World day of the Book the branch of OLMER in Crete in cooperation with the Rethymnon Centre for Contemporary Art and the assistance of the University of Crete, the Pedagogical Section of pre-school education and the Teachers’ Association of the 2nd elementary school of Rethymnon were released workshops, narrations of folktales and reading texts of children literature. The activities were released from educators to children between 5-12 years old.

In the framework of the International Sailing Competition “Regatta Odysail ‘06” a participation of the Workroom of Fine Arts with a programme for children on the subject: Ethereal games, the dance of colours.

2005


Participation in the International Day of Museums with a programme for primary school children on the subject: The Municipal Garden of Rethymnon. Place of Culture Meeting.

In the framework of the fair of the European week of youth the Municipality of Rethymnon organized a run of activities on the subject: The young in the limelight. The Workroom of Fine Arts participated with a training programme.

Just before the end of the summer a conjectural activity on the subject: Body and traces, Sending off summer at the beach of Rethymnon.

In the framework of the Cultural Olympics venues, a scheme on the subject: Transforming a jar.

In the framework of the Centre’s co-operation with Primary Education, a ceramics workshop for children took place (Froso Bora).

In the framework of the carnival events in Rethymnon, a performance took place in the old town ofRethymnon, on the subject: The Labyrinth myth.

In the framework of Oikade exhibition, a scheme for primary school pupils took place, on the subject: Acquaintance with painting techniques, materials and styles.

As part of the International Museum Day, the children made a collective artwork and presented it to the Rethymnon Centre for Contemporary Artistic Creation to enrich its Permanent Collection. A children’s group of Friends of the Museum was also formed, with each child adopting one work from the Collection (Nota Karamanea, Efsevia Michailidou, Thodoris Raftopoulos, Yannis Stefanakis).

A scheme including 24 children from Ukraine hosted by the Rethymnon municipality. After completing a guided tour in exhibition of the permanent collection at the Municipal Gallery the children took part in a programme of painting and ceramic and worked with materials and techniques of contemporary creative. The programme was realised in the Workroom of Fine Arts of RCA.

A scheme on the subject of family photos, in co-operation with the Skopelos Photography Centre (Lea Nalpandidou – Maria Choulaki).

A scheme including 50 children from Ukrainehosted by the Rethymnon municipality. After completing a guided tour in exhibition Men-Faces-Forms at the Municipal Gallery and coming into contact with works of great artists in Greek Art history (Gyzis, Lytras, Iakovides), the children worked in the Art Studios and created their own works.

In the framework of the exhibition Thy Neighbour, programme for primary & secondary school pupils took place on the subject: Images of violence from day-to-day life.
